2015 Event Entry Process

Entries Into the 2015 Kep Ultra Sold Out, Wait List is Full.

Entries in the Kep Ultra are restricted to ~75 runners over both events, The entry process for 2015 will be similar to that for the 2014 event, we will again have a ballot system.

Entries will open in two phases. The first phase of entries will be restricted to those who volunteered at Kep Ultra 2014. The first phase entries will open at 12 Noon Western Standard Time on Sunday 4 January 2015, and close at Midnight, Friday 9 January. The second phase is for all other entrants. The second phase entry process will open at 12 Noon WST on Saturday 10 January 2015 where people can nominate to participate in the entry ballot. This nomination process closes at 12 Noon WST on Sunday 11 January. Once the ballot nomination process has closed, a ballot will take place where the remaining places in the field (100 places less the number of volunteers who have entered) will be randomly selected from those who entered ballot. This allows for natural attrition of people withdrawing from the race to get the total entries back to the 75 maximum. Those who are successful in the ballot will receive an email with a link to the official entry form, and must enter the event by 12 Noon WST Tuesday 13 January. Should there be people who registered for the ballot, and have not been successful in securing a place in the ballot, they will be added to a waiting list if they nominated this option on the entry form. Should there still be places available after the above process has been completed, a link will be made available on the website at 12 Noon WST on Wednesday 14 January, allowing people to directly enter the event. Links to the relevant race entry forms will be available on the Race Website on these dates. In addition to the 75 places, there will be a number of “Race Director’s Invitees”, comprising previous Kep winners and the like. Invitees will be emailed their invitation before the entries open. Note any cancellations up until 9 May 2015 will receive a refund of 50% of the entry fee. There are no refunds after 9 May.
